Mary,
With colleagues in Mexico, and in association with the Mexican
Environment Ministry, we have used a social audit approach
as a framework for our participatory assessment of the participation
and the ministry's regional sustainable development programme.
The latter was designed 6 years ago very much in line with
the SL approach, without knowing it. The objective was to
start working with stakeholders and the ministry on a possible
participatory M&E process; using elements of the social audit
approach was part of that. We are currently writing up the
work. Would be interested to hear from your work.
