| Each
year IWA organises and sponsors many specialised conferences
and seminars on a wide variety of topics in water
and sanitation management in locations worldwide.
Its initiatives include development of local action
plans, strengthening regional networks
and advocacy on pragmatic pathways to the
provision of sustainable water and sanitation services in
developing countries.
The
conference aims to promote effective and sustainable
approaches to water and wastewater management through
decentralised community involvement and capacity
building. It provides an interntational forum at
which researchers and professionals working in water and wastewater
research, technology and management can share their
research. This particular conference programme will
also include the visits to the cities of Nepal.
