Some
very interesting work is going on under the Liverpool Health
Authority in the UK. They are looking at ways to measure changes
in equity of service delivery and health care as well as for
health monitoring purposes. Interestingly some of these methods
are also being used in the Nepal United Kingdom Livelihoods
and Forestry Programme (formerly the Nepal UK Community Forestry
Project) - like participatory spider diagrams.
The Equity Audit tool developed refers explicitly to four
'capitals' - human, social, physical/environmental and econ/financial.

monitoring community regeneration by Dr Ruth Hussey &
