Biodiversity and Livelihoods

Biodiversity is a term usually associated with conservation. Frequently seen as a 'green' issue the role it plays in supporting livelihoods and poverty reduction is often overlooked. By using the SL framework a greater understanding of the contribution biodiversity makes to all livelihood assets, not simply natural capital, can be made.
