The European Federation for Information Technologies in Agriculture, Food and the Environment (EFITA) has added several new chapters to their free e-book by E. Gelb and A. Offer. Sponsored by the Samuel Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Center for Agricultural Research, the book provides an overview of successes and failures in the development and adoption of ICT in agriculture and the rural
sector.

The contributors use case studies of technological
innovation that offer lessons for agricultural production, the rural sector, and national strategic priorities.
