Livelihoods Support Programme- Desk Study
FAO
April 6, 2004

The Livelihoods Support Programme at FAO is undertaking a desk study (with follow up) to review cases in which sustainable livelihoods approaches have had a positive impact on the rural poor.

We are currently gathering cases representing different types of projects, sectoral entry points, implementing organizations and geographical regions that demonstrate reduction in poverty. If you are aware of well documented cases, we would be most grateful to receive contact information for resource persons or any background or evaluative materials available.

Secondly we realize that we are not alone in reviewing sustainable livelihoods cases. If you are aware of other evaluative studies underway, we would be interested in sharing findings with other assessments.

Thank you very much. Your assistance and insights would be of great value.

Please contact: Constance Neely (Constance.Neely@fao.org) or Kirsty Sutherland (Kristen.Sutherland@fao.org)
