Dear
All
I'm
looking at how development project planning and evaluation
systems incorporate issues of hazard risk and socio-economic
vulnerability to it.
It would be helpful to learn from those who have adopted Sustainable
Livelihoods approaches how they have appraised the vulnerability
context and how this assessment has been incorporated into
project design and monitoring. The literature on initial appraisal
and evaluation of livelihoods-focused initiatives appears
to concentrate on livelihood assets and strategies.
I'm familiar with the standard vulnerability assessment methods
used in disaster management but am interested to learn how
development/livelihoods practitioners are dealing with these
issues.
Advice and information of any kind would be welcomed.
