The aim of the programme is to enhance sustainable development and
food security through application of integrated and collaborative
approaches both within FAO and in partner countries. Such approaches
often imply institutional change and the introduction of new cross-sectoral
working modes.
The
programme takes a continued learning approach that offers both FAO
and Intergrated Porgramme partner countries an opportunity to explore
and experience how to implement integrated and collaborative activities
and projects.
Guiding
principles of the programme:
interdisciplinarity
to address the multi-sectoral issues that underlie poverty and
food security;
partnerships
within FAO and with governments, other organisations and civil
society;
continuous
learning process;
demand-driven
