edge of the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach.

Helen
Schneider is the Manager of Livelihoods Connect.
She is responsible for strategic development and management
of Livelihoods Connect and the Livelihoods Network,
including networking and liaison with donors and other
stakeholders, team management, and research into SLA
and related Knowledge Management issues.

Maggie
Ibrahim is the Research and Communications Officer
for Livelihoods Connect. Responsible for researching
and summarising new SL content, involved in the strategic
development of Livelihoods Connect, and supporting the
development and implementation of the Livelihoods Network.

Aggett is the Research and Communications Assistant
for Livelihoods Connect. Responsible for researching
new SL content, developing new materials, liaising with
users, monitoring and evaluation, site / email list
administration, and creating our e-mail bulletin.

Milward is our Key Documents Abstracter. She provides us
with succinct abstracts teasing out implications, highlights,
and policy relevance of the document. She also provides full
information on each key document including author contact details,
organisation links, and funder involvement. |
Susanne
Turrel is an experience Livelihoods Freelancer. She is
responsible for collating and synthesising current thinking
on livelihoods approaches as well as keeping our organisational
links page updated. |

Content:
New material should fulfil at least one of the following four
aims:
- Advance
understanding, through analysis, example or debate, of
particular characteristics of a sustainable livelihoods
approach (e.g. any of the principles, asset based approaches,
vulnerability, PIPs, strategies, etc) by challenging or
pushing boundaries of existing knowledge
- Share
lessons from practical application of a sustainable livelihoods
approach
- Explore
potential application of a sustainable livelihoods approach
in different contexts or sectors
- Provide
tools and ideas for knowledge sharing, communication and
learning which can be used in the context of sustainable
livelihoods approaches
Quality:
Livelihoods Connect takes a practical and informal approach
to assessing quality. We value interesting content over grammar,
presentation and style. Where necessary submissions can be
edited to improve quality in consultation with the author.
