Editorial Policy

Content: New material should fulfil at least one of the following four aims:

  • Advance understanding, through analysis, example or debate, of particular characteristics of a sustainable livelihoods approach (e.g. any of the principles, asset based approaches, vulnerability, PIPs, strategies, etc) by challenging or pushing boundaries of existing knowledge
  • Share lessons from practical application of a sustainable livelihoods approach
  • Explore potential application of a sustainable livelihoods approach in different contexts or sectors
  • Provide tools and ideas for knowledge sharing, communication and learning which can be used in the context of sustainable livelihoods approaches

Quality: Livelihoods Connect takes a practical and informal approach to assessing quality. We value interesting content over grammar, presentation and style. Where necessary submissions can be edited to improve quality in consultation with the author.
