Logical Frameworks: An Introduction.

A presentation outlining the purpose and benefits of a logframe and practical steps towards developing one.

 Background

Logical frameworks, or logframes, are a common tool for structuring sustainable livelihoods project, programme and institutional workplans. This short training presentation highlights the principles that lie behind the logframe approach, and when and how it should be used.

Key steps and tools for problem identification are described as well as the stages in developing a logframe based around the problem. These include defining the goal, the purpose, the outputs, the activities and the inputs. The identification and definition of risks and objectively verifiable indicators are also covered.
