International Development Enterprises (India)

International Development Enterprises (IDE) are a not-for-profit organisation promoting low-cost, appropriate and environmentally sustainable irrigation technologies among small and marginal farm families in India. The organisation is committed to providing long-term solutions to poverty, hunger and malnutrition, and presently has operations in selected districts of 15 states.

IDE (India)'s introduction of new technologies has enabled small farmers to grow off-season crops, consequently increasing their annual income with a resultant enhancement in their socio-economic status. The organisation's irrigation technologies have not only contributed to improving food security, but have also positively impacted on the livelihoods of thousands of small farm families in the country.
