(Wageningen UR) has joined its forces in the international
field by setting up Wageningen
International. Wageningen International offers easy access
to all international products and services of Wageningen UR,
covering education, research, capacity development and consultancy
services.
Wageningen International’s Capacity Development and
Institutional Change Programme’ (CD&IC)
focuses on food systems, agricultural markets and trade, natural
resources management and the livelihoods of rural people.
CD&IC’s
work revolves around five interlinked themes:

Livelihood
Security and Development Policy Policy innovation for
enhancing rural people’s livelihood security and reducing
rural poverty given the challenges of globalisation.

Sustainable
Agriculture as a Driver for Development
Rethinking the role of agriculture as a driver of economic
and social development and generating the institutional change
required for creating new market opportunities.

Value
Chains for Sustainable Development
Enabling new quality, safety and environmental standards to
be met across entire value chains and working towards equitable
trade that can make pro-poor growth a reality.

Integrated
Land Water and Biodiversity Management
Utilizing and managing natural resources from a whole ecosystem
perspective and developing the governance mechanisms to cope
with competing claims for resources.

Innovation
and Learning for Societal Change
Empowering people and organisations with the insights and
practical skills required for working together to resolve
conflict and bring about positive change.
The
CD&IC Programme offers diverse services to support capacity
