SPARKNET: Knowledge Network on Energy for Low Income Household in Southern and East Africa

Energy is one of the most essential inputs for sustaining people's livelihoods. SPARKNET is an interdisciplinary interactive knowledge network sharing lessons on energy for low-income households in Southern and East Africa. The network consists of twelve organisations from 10 countries under the leadership of the Intermediate Technology Development Gruop (ITDG). It is sponsored by the European Commission.

SPARKNET organises information on energy around four themes: health, gender, forestry, policy. It has briefing papers on each of these themes, and an extensive searchable database.
