IMM
Ltd. is an international research, development and consultancy
group. Thier mission is to play a major, long-term role in
sustainably reducing global poverty. The focus of their work
in the past has been working with communities that depend
on the aquatic environment. That remit has expanded as they
take a much more holistic view of poverty and the livelihoods
of rural people.They are involved in a range of projects and
programmes linked into this aim and work with a diversity
of partners in the process.
Examples
of projects with a Sustainable Livelihoods Approach:
- Poverty
and Reefs Initiative: IMM has launched a poverty and reefs
initiative in order to place poor people at the centre of
the reef debate
- Reef
Livelihoods Assessment : DFID-funded policy research aimed
at understanding the benefit flows to poor people from coral
reef ecosystems

addition to projects, IMM Ltd. has been actively using and
promoting the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach through training
and tools. Examples:
