| Oxfam
GB is a worldwide organisation that employs over 6,000
people in more than 80 countries to overcome poverty and suffering.
This includes helping the millions of people
in the UK without enough money to live on. Oxfam believes
that in a rich country this is completely unacceptable. Oxfam
works to overcome poverty in the UK in three ways. To develop
projects with people living in poverty to improve
their lives and show how things can change. Raise
public awareness of poverty to create pressure for
change. And to work with policymakers to tackle the causes
of poverty. This role, based in Oxfam’s founding
office in Oxford, is a key component in the delivery of these
objectives.
