Growing Inclusive Markets Forum

Background

We are pleased to announce an exciting conference opportunity and accompanying scholarship programme on markets and development.

Join researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, and private sector development organisations, as well as representatives from the international donor community, at the first Growing Inclusive Markets Forum.

This forum will foster relationship building in an energetic, and collaborating environment They key areas include post-conflict livelihood creation, micro-credit, human capital development and private infrastructure projects.

The Forum will include keynote speeches from Paul Martin, former Canadian Prime Minister and co-chair of the UN Unleashing Entrepreneurship Report and Dr. Bruce Jenks, Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Collaborating partners include the International Development Research Centre, the United Nations Development Program, and the International Council for Small Business.

  • Engaging in dialogue on the latest research, policy issues, and trends in private sector development.
  • Networking and exploring opportunities for collaboration with a significant number of experts from Africa, Latin America and Asia.

The scholarship:

There are thirty scholarships available to participants from the Global South to present their work on private sector development. In order to be considered for sponsorship, please submit your registration forms and abstracts as soon as possible. Participants should submit abstracts that correspond to the sectoral themes from June 20th or the ‘enabling conditions’ roundtable discussions on June 21st.
