Course
Objective
The
Livelihoods Assessment and Analysis course introduces the
concept of livelihoods and the components of the livelihoods
framework. It also provides guidance on assessing livelihoods
in different food security contexts and on selecting and interpreting
livelihoods indicators.
The
Course is divided into three lessons:
1.
Introduction to Livelihoods
This lesson introduces the concept of livelihoods and the
components of the livelihoods framework. A set of examples
illustrate the multiple factors that can influence livelihoods.
2.
Assessing Livelihoods
This lesson illustrates eight livelihoods assessment approaches
and provides guidance on assessing livelihoods in different
food security contexts.
3.
Livelihoods Indicators
This lesson presents some key indicators for each aspect of
the livelihood framework and provides guidance on selecting
and interpreting livelihoods indicators.
