The Distance Learning Materials provides you with a guide to Sustainable Livelihoods approaches and methods with rapid learning in mind. They unpack concepts and jargon, highlight key messages and provide options to reinforce understanding with refresher questions and points to ponder.

The Distance Learning Materials were produced by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) to complement the more detailed Guidance Sheets.

Section 1 (Introduction to the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach), Section 2 (Framework for Sustainable Livelihoods), Section 3 (Uses of the SL Approach), Section 4 (Methods) Section 5 (Policy Reform), Section 6 (Development approaches) , and Section 7 (SLAs in practice) are all available.

A Glossary of SL Terms used in the Distance Learning Materials is also available in all Sections. Within the materials click on Book icon for online glossary or the Print icon for hard copy glossary.
