Gathering in the Rain

 Background:
Gathering in the Rain is a 4-part series of 15-minute programmes about rainwater harvesting, drawing on material from research carried out by Sokoine University's Soil-Water Management Research Group in Tanzania. This was funded by the Natural Resources Systems Programme. The series was made as a collaboration between the BBC and the NRI, working closely with Sokoine University.

It was first broadcast in May and June 2003 as part of the BBC World Service 'Language in Focus' strand.

To listen to the audio files, which are in MP3 format, requires an audio system such as RealPlayer. You can download this for free at RealPlayer

The programmes in the series are:

1 Living in a Dry Place (MP3)
2 Harvesting the Rain (MP3)
3 Communicating and Succeeding (MP3)
4 Spreading the Message (MP3)
