have used PRA techniques to establish 'well being variables', defined by local
people, and used over time to track changes in the livelihood status of project
participants. An example of CARE's livelihoods monitoring system can be found
in the DFID publication "Sustainable Livelihoods: Lessons from early experience",
page 28, box 8. This is available online in the Livelihoods Connect Key Documents
